Join Our Catering Team at the High School of Dundee

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly catering team at the High School of Dundee. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant school environment where food is at the heart of the community.

As part of a small, supportive team, you’ll play a key role in preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals for up to 200 pupils daily. From breakfast to lunch—including a popular homemade pizza offering—you'll be involved in creating enjoyable, nutritious meals that make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Preparing, cooking, and serving food for pupils and staff
- Supporting breakfast, mid-morning, and lunch service
- Assisting with hospitality catering for school events (buffet lunches, special events)
- Contributing to cleaning and kitchen hygiene duties
- Cross-training opportunities in both the nursery and primary school kitchens


What We’re Looking For:

- Experience working in an educational kitchen is desirable
- Basic knife and food preparation skills
- Understanding of HACCP food safety systems
- Good communication and food presentation skills
- Familiarity with recipe management systems is a plus
- A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to learn
- This role would suit a chef with a solid foundation in kitchen work who is looking to grow and develop within a supportive team.
