About The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Facilities Assistant to oversee and support the delivery of facilities management services. In this role, you will supervise the departmental team and assist the Facilities Manager to ensure services meet contractual, statutory, and quality management standards. You’ll play a key part in ensuring all facilities-related activities are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure meeting rooms and communal areas are clean, stocked, and ready for use
Carry out basic handyman tasks (e.g., assembling furniture, minor repairs, basic decorating)
Perform light plumbing and cosmetic maintenance across the site
Manage and liaise with contractors for outsourced services
Support office moves, refurbishments, and site projects
Maintain stock and replenish drinks chillers and printer supplies
Set up rooms for internal meetings and events
Assist with compliance checks, inspections, and basic testing (e.g., PAT)
Ensure facilities meet health, safety, and regulatory standards
Respond to maintenance requests and site emergencies as required
Approve RAMS and issue permits to contractors
Help implement the 5S model and support continuous improvement
Provide support with general site upkeep and day-to-day facilities tasks
About You:
ILM Level 3 in Facilities Management (Desirable)
IOSH Certificate (Desirable)
FLT License (Desirable)Experience using power and hand tools
Background in maintenance, building, or construction
General repairs, painting, and decorating experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with a proactive mindset
Able to work independently and manage workload without supervision
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights (occasional ladder/MEWP use)
