About the Role – Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across Maths, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Computer Science, and Engineering. Working closely with experienced educators, you’ll help deliver engaging lessons, support targeted interventions, and assist students in reaching their academic potential.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering one-to-one and small group academic interventions
• Supporting lesson planning, resource preparation, and classroom delivery
• Assisting students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Contributing to the development of effective teaching strategies
• Gaining practical insight into a wide range of educational needs and approaches

Candidate Profile – Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for enthusiastic, high-achieving STEM graduates who are:

• Educated to degree level with a 2:1 or above in a STEM discipline (e.g., Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science)
• Confident in their subject knowledge and able to communicate complex concepts clearly
• Professional, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in education
• Strong communicators with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, outreach) is beneficial but not essential
• Considering a future in teaching, education, or academic research
