The midwifery teaching team participate in teaching, assessing and supporting pre and post registration midwifery students and those from health and social care programmes across the School, as well as undertaking School and College lead roles and contributing to the wider aspirations of UWE Bristol.

You will join our visionary School of Health and Social Wellbeing and, in order to fulfil our aims and contribute to our continued success, you will be dynamic, adaptable, innovative and creative. Integral to our achievements are activities, which enhance the student experience through innovative teaching, learning, research and assessment strategies.
You will have a high level of insight and experience in contemporary midwifery practice and experience in practice-based education. Knowledge of contemporary policy and professional standards, as well as theories and concepts that underpin midwifery practice and education is essential. You must be registered as a midwife on the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Register. You will have achieved, be working towards or willing to undertake a Master’s degree in a health or education related subject and possess strong evidence of continuing professional development related to their current role. Additionally, you will hold a recognised post-graduate certificate in higher education or be willing to work towards one.
Where is this role based?
This post is based at our Glenside Campus which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre.

The full time post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
This role is campus based with the opportunity to work remotely.
