Pay rate: £20.86 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 3 months
Working Arrangement: Office only. Candidate will be based at the town Hall from Monday - Friday from 9-5pm.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Housing Procurement And Contract Officer, to support the Procurement and Contract Management Team Managers in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency and success of the Temporary Accommodation and Resettlement department as a whole.
It is essential that you have Part 7 experience and knowledge. Ideally you will also have previous experience in the private rented sector specifically property procurement. Benefits knowledge is essential along with good communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Commission, procure, and manage the supply of accommodation, including temporary accommodation, direct lets, and private rented sector accommodation.
Ensure the effective supply of accommodation for households in housing need and providing effective contract monitoring
Contribute to the delivery of ad hoc accommodation-related projects, delivery of property decant programmes, and new contract development.
Implementing operational plans within the service area to fit with broader functional and Council strategy.
Assist with the effective management of the accommodation units held within the Council’s private leasing portfolio
What the client is looking for:
Experience of working in a social/private sector housing environment or related field
Essential Part 7 experience and knowledge
Experience of working with private landlords and lettings agents
Previous experience in the private rented sector specifically property procurement - desirable
Benefits knowledge is essential
Good communication and organisational skills are required
