Crynodeb
To manage and develop specialist assessments, treatment plans, delivery and evaluation of interventions for a complex caseload of service users using a person- centred approach. To plan, organise and monitor complex programmes and therapy plans implemented by the post holder and others. To utilise core and highly specialist occupational therapy skills to meet the complex needs of individuals. To utilise highly developed specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory, frames of reference and models of practice to develop clinical practice in this area of work. To utilise appropriate formal assessment tools to assess needs and measure outcomes. To provide expert skills and advice underpinned by evidence and values- based practice supported by service development. To provide clinical OT leadership in the work area ensuring the provision of a needs led, user and carer- focused service. Provide highly specialist clinical advice and promote the role of OT to meet the occupational performance needs of service users. Contribute to service development and alert managers to resource issues which impact upon service delivery so as to identify gaps and formulate an action plan.
