Your Role

Stockport Register Office requires ushers to help to meet ceremonial demands at their Town Hall location, in particular in the months between April and October. The role provides support for registration staff and residents attending the Register Office.

This role requires a commitment to weekend work, with occasional weekday duties, particularly on busy Friday afternoons. There are opportunities to support the delivery of marriage, civil partnership, naming, vow renewal and citizenship ceremonies. Hours of work are flexible, ideal for those looking for a meaningful role that fits around other commitments.

About You

Successful applicants must be well organised, have a strong attention to detail, possess a good understanding of customer care and have excellent verbal communication skills.
You must also be able to liaise appropriately with customers and be able to take control of large groups of people.

Working effectively to given deadlines with a minimum of supervision, as a part a team are pre-requisites.
