During acute medicine and when on the respiratory ward all other commitments are cancelled; ward commitments never overlap with acute medicine commitments Cancer clinics usually operate a template of 3 new patients and 5 follow ups, but this will vary with demand on the service and these slots may be used flexibly for new or follow up patients as needed.
