Crynodeb
Practice independently in accordance with UKCC code of conduct and with reference to the Working in Partnership (WiPP) General Nursing Toolkit Knowledge and Skills Framework and the Practice Guidelines, appropriately referring to GPs. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs Provide Well Women services such as cervical cytology, pill checks, Depo-Provera injections and assist GPs in the provision of contraceptive services Monitoring of hormone replacement therapy Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler Dressings Removal of Sutures Travel Clinic ECGs Venepuncture Hypertension Management Ear syringing Routine immunizations/Childhood immunisations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Special interest in Diabetes Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate
