Crynodeb
As a HCA within surgical SDEC you will work under the guidance of the advanced nurse practitioners, you will do clinical observations, urinealysis, ECG's, venepuncture and cannulation as required for each patient who attends the unit. You will also play a key role in the management of the dressings clinic, training will be provided but experience/knowledge of wound care would be advantageous. You will need to be able to use EPR systems such a powerchart to document patient encounters and also revenue cycle to admit and transfer patients. Surgical experience/knowledge would also be advantegous, as would experience of working in emergency care. You must be keen to learn but able to use your own initative and also work well under pressure as the unit can be very busy, being able to priortise tasks is essential.
