Crynodeb
The post holder will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of the Diabetic Eye Screening Information Management System (OptoMize) in order to ensure participant pathways are managed in line with programme policy. They will also be the main point of contact for liaising with Informatics for the development of reporting tools and data collation. The post holder will possess core competencies to provide cover at the appropriate level across any of the Welsh Screening Programmes. The post holder will be responsible for the wider failsafe development of the team and will retain oversight for the more complex failsafe pathways. As part of this, they will be responsible for any annual audits and scheduled audit checks in relation to these pathways and the wider department. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in conjunction with the Screening Pathway Co-ordinator Service Delivery. The post holder will be the lead for any project-based work as the need arises and as directed by the All Wales Screening Pathway Manager. The post holder will take the lead in investigating any concerns or complaints raised (either through Datix or On the Spot forms). The post holder will be responsible for liaising with Nursing colleagues and long stay units (e.g. prisons/assisted living) to facilitate clinics for these populations. They will be responsible for the identification of participants under the ATC Scheme (Safe Haven) and arranging suitable clinics for them.
