Research Degrees’ Manager £19,608 - £29,630 per annum based on an FTE of 32,680 - £49,339 per annum A minimum of 22.5 hours per week PermanentAbout the Role: The Research Degrees Manager will work as part of Hartpury University’s Academic Registry team to co-ordinate the administration of our postgraduate research degree students’ journey. The University currently has about 30 research degree students, with an aim to increase this number to about 40 by 2030. • Play a pivotal role in supporting our students and staff to navigate the requirements of both Hartpury University and the research degree awarding body partner • Directly influence the future of research degrees at Hartpury • Working with external stakeholders and many different academic and professional services’ departments at Hartpury • Directly promote excellent student enrolment, assessment and progression, and graduation experiences • Represent the interests of our postgraduate research students and associated staff in both operational and strategic conversations
About You: • Experience of working with research degree students in an English university• Understanding of English regulatory requirements of universities offering research degrees • Ability to produce guidance to support routine decision making and experience of interpreting requirements to make non-routine decisions independently• Experience of influencing people whom you do not line manage to complete projects successfully and implement outcomes• Excellent skills to plan, organise and complete work to a high standard by a deadline• Ability to work well in a team as a team leader or in another team role • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across a variety of channels including Microsoft Office packages• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
