Join Us as a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Manchester. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong mechanical expertise, particularly with pumps and valves. A basic understanding of electrical systems is an advantage, but solid mechanical experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance with the production team and contractors.

  • Maintain, repair and replace mechanical components, with a focus on pumps and valves.

  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly equipment inspections and log them using the maintenance system.

  • Identify and report any safety or production-related issues.

  • Help manage spare parts stock and ensure statutory inspections are kept up to date.

  • Provide maintenance data and reports to support capital expenditure planning.

  • Assist with upgrades and improvements alongside the wider engineering team.

  • Follow site safety and quality procedures, and participate in safety walkarounds.

  • Supervise and manage contractors on-site as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven mechanical maintenance experience, especially with pumps and valves.

  • Basic electrical skills are a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, "can-do" approach.

  • Full UK driving licence (clean - licence checks required).

  • Comfortable using maintenance planning systems and following safety procedures.
