SALARY: £30,000 per annum + Potential to Earn Uncapped Commissions + Benefits
LOCATION: Par, Cornwall, South West England (This is an Office Based Position, which will require client site visits)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Business Development Account Manager / Sales Executive who is personable, organised and highly motivated, with excellent customer service and business development skills is required to manage existing client accounts whilst developing new business opportunities.
Working as the Business Development Account Manager / Sales Executive you will help drive the growth of the company’s exciting new trade platform. You’ll manage existing client accounts while actively developing new business opportunities, primarily within the electrical sector.
This is a varied role and as the Business Development Account Manager / Sales Executive you will be involved in account management, cold calling and attending demonstration / training days — so flexibility and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
This is a great opportunity for a sales professional who likes the variety of account management and new business development, working from the office and on occasion visiting customers.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Business Development Account Manager / Sales Executive will include:
Platform Development
• Review, develop, and optimise a trade platform to meet evolving internal and external business requirements, ensuring alignment with market demands and company objectives
Commercial Growth
• Launch and drive revenue growth of the platform, building future resources / team to support and sustain future business expansion
New Business Acquisition
• Proactively initiate cold and warm outreach, consistently building and nurturing client relationships from initial contact to long-term partnership
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, effectively managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
Client Account Management
• Manage and nurture a portfolio of existing client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
• Act as a trusted partner for clients, providing proactive support and efficient issue resolution to strengthen relationships and drive repeat business
Process & Operational Improvement
• Streamline and optimise sales and customer support processes, ensuring seamless platform adoption and a high-quality user experience
• Gather and leverage user feedback to drive continuous improvement across service delivery, operational processes, and product offerings
Identify Prospects
• Collaborate with line management to identify and target key recruits, and effectively onboard new users to the platform
Performance Reporting
• Produce weekly performance reports for line management, providing clear and concise updates on key metrics and business activities

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• A proven background in Sales / Account management (Electrical sector preferable but not essential as training will be given)
• Confident cold caller with strong business development skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and general IT tools
• A passion for learning and improving your product knowledge to assist you and your customers
• Take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a very busy committed team, but also be able to work individually on your own project
• Possess a good attention to detail throughout each process
• Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills
• Polite and friendly, whilst being driven to succeed and deliver
• Able to work under pressure to deadlines, targets and KPI’s
• Office based with a willingness to travel when required
• Willingness to undertake training modules set out by the company
