Background
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Student Fees Team within the University’s Finance Directorate. We currently have two permanent and one fixed term (all full-time) vacancies within the team.
As an Assistant Student Fees Officer, you will play a key role in the team and be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices and credit notes for tuition fees, and any associated grants or bursaries, for students registered with the University.
The role will include working with the Student Loans Company (SLC) and the University’s Student & Academic Services teams to ensure the appropriate and timely exchange and dissemination of information and data. The postholder will answer day-to-day queries and effectively administer and respond to incoming enquiries and requests for information.
You will have good IT and analytical and monitoring skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines in an organised manner, working well within a team or independently, as required. You will understand the importance of accuracy and attention to detail; and the importance of confidentiality and customer care.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is split between home and office working. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus.
We will consider your preferred working pattern but this will also be determined by the service required and the tasks/activities being undertaken. The post holder may also be required to support University Open Days and other related events.
How to apply
Start date for applications: 20th of August 2025
