Lecturer in Postgraduate Fashion Design (0.5 FTE)
School of Design
Location: Glasgow, G3 6RQ
Grade 7, £44,746 - £56,535 per annum pro rata
Fixed Term until end of October 2026
17.5 hours per week/2.5 days
Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Postgraduate Fashion Design, in the Department of Fashion and Textiles, to provide a challenging and supportive learning experience for students on the Master of Design (MDes) Fashion Design programme.
Delivering world-class teaching, whilst contributing to the academic development of the programme within the overall context of the School of Design, and the vision of the Glasgow School of Art.
Person Specification:
•Educated to degree level (or equivalent) as a minimum.
•Experience of teaching Fashion Design at postgraduate level within Higher Education; from initial concept through to full 3D realisation.
•Experience of curriculum design, delivery, assessment and development in line with quality enhancement and assurance.
•Excellent understanding of current debates, trends and issues relating to the subject.
•Possess a PG Certificate in Learning & Teaching or willingness to undertake an appropriate qualification in this area.
•Active practitioner/researcher with an established profile in the field and the ability to contribute to the school’s research themes.
