Senior Packing Team Leader
£16.37 per hour
Monday – Friday / 6am – 2pm
Deeside

Our client based in the Deeside area is currently looking to a Packing Senior Team Leader. Reporting to the Packing Manager, the Packing Senior Team Leader is responsible for supervising the packing department operations, ensuring that products are packed according to quality standards, efficiently and on time. This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail, ensuring that all packing processes comply with company guidelines and safety standards.

Performance Objectives
• Ensure all products are properly packed and comply with safety standards, including preventing foreign body contamination, maintaining temperature control, and ensuring that weight tolerances and quality specifications are met.
• Ensure complete traceability for all packed products.
• Effectively manage and coordinate labour to ensure departmental duties are completed within required timeframes.
• Oversee and facilitate continuous staff training and development.
• Maintain compliance with GMP standards at all times, including adherence to maintenance and segregation requirements.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and effective management of partially filled boxes.
• Ensure timely product dispatch through effective coordination with the Goods Out team, manager, and dispatch manager to meet customer orders.
• Identify and report any performance or training issues to the Packing Manager.
• Oversee the packing shed operations and promptly report any issues.
• Ensure that health and safety audits are conducted by the relevant staff and any issues are addressed promptly.

Person Specification
• Experience of working within a similar role.
• This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail, ensuring that all packing processes comply with company guidelines and safety standards.
