Trainee installations operative.

Immediate start available. We are looking for someone to join our team installing grain handling equipment. This is an entry level role so no experience in this particular field is necessary as training will be given and we will take you from basic experience and develop you into a competent and well skilled operative.

This is a role that can take you all over the UK and further afield, it’s working away so you need to be comfortable with that and prepared to put a full shift in.

Accommodation is provided free of charge.

Basic necessity: CSCS card of any flavour. Ability to use hand tools to assemble things, ability to use power tools safely, some ability to work things out for yourself, strong work ethic and able to work in a team. If you have these attributes, then you immediately qualify for the job.

To give advantage: experience working on a construction site, ability to read engineering drawings, have some qualifications in construction or engineering (any flavour of engineering) level 2-3. Bonus: CPCS forklift, IPAF 3a/3b, driving license and passport. These are all a nice to have, but not having any of these doesn’t exclude you from consideration.

Starting rate is £16/hr but will be reviewed shortly after seeing how you work, relevant experience and what you can bring to the company and the role. Daily allowance paid and productivity bonus available. Employed on a self employed/Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) basis. Paid weekly. The job is to run from March to approximately the end of November each year. We are looking at having some work over the winter but its difficult to find the right projects as the work is temperature dependent.

Our base is in Pocklington, east of York, so you’d need to be able to get there for Monday morning and return Friday night.

To apply, please provide a CV and a brief introduction to what you’ve been working on recently to the email or give us a call on 07763 532098.
