Job title: Male Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Guisborough, TS14
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 43-year-old male living in the Guisborough area who is looking to recruit a Male Personal Assistant to provide support for 7 hours per week with daily living tasks.
Main duties:
Social duties
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Support with attending medical appointments
Support to access the local community
Personal care: Support & encourage with showering to ensure client is safe.
Domestic duties: Support and encourage client with household chores that he can manage. Support with changing bedding, keeping the home environment clean and tidy and checking the mail.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality & diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Difficulties would be preferred. Someone who is patient yet encouraging. Our client would like someone with similar interests such as music, gaming, art, cars and monster trucks.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering male applicants only.
Hours of work: 7 hours per week – times & days to be discussed.
Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour

Ability to support people with complex support needs.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
