Llanbydder | £17 - £19 per hour (DOE) | Permanent | Full-Time | Overtime AvailableAcorn by Synergie is currently recruiting a Maintenance Electrician on behalf of our client - a leading industrial business based in Llanbydder. This is a permanent role, ideal for a time-served electrician with a background in heavy industry or manufacturing.
About the Role:You'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of both fixed and mobile plant equipment including conveyors, pumps, motors, control panels, and PLCs. Preventative maintenance and fault-finding are key elements of this role, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out efficient repair of electrical breakdowns.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Maintain motors, switchgear, panels, and electrical systems safely.
- Support the installation and commissioning of electrical projects.
- Operate and maintain electrical equipment including PLCs and control systems.
- Identify faults quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Adhere to health & safety procedures and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to meet operational goals.
- Apprenticeship served in electrical maintenance.
- 17th or 18th Edition of BS 7671.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (advantageous).
- Computer literacy and the ability to use maintenance systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and safety-focused approach.
- Permanent full-time position - 47.5 hours per week plus overtime premiums.
- Competitive hourly rate: £17 - £19 per hour (depending on experience).
