Your new company
Hays is partnering with a global technology manufacturer to recruit a Buyer for their Belfast-based supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation known for innovation and scientific impact.
Your new role
- Manage daily purchasing activities including order placement, expediting, and delivery tracking
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
- Maintain ERP system data and ensure pricing accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage stock, production orders, and procurement needs
- Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Attend team meetings and contribute to procurement process development
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Proficiency in Excel and manual data handling
- GCSEs including English & Maths (or equivalent)
- Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively
- Desirable: Working towards CIPS or third-level qualification
