You will be the main point of contact for the TRAC Steering Group, chaired by the Vice-President (Research & Enterprise) and interact frequently with Academics, Faculty Finance Teams and other Professional Services Staff.

You will also be an integral member of the Financial Planning team and support the section’s broader roles including business planning, budgeting, and management accounts. The role holder will be expected to drive improvements in analysis and insight provided to the University Senior Executive team.

About You

You will need

• A professional accountancy qualification and membership of a relevant body

• Experience of management accounting or costing

• A curious and analytical mindset with attention to detail and a drive for accuracy

• Great organisational skills, managing deadlines and competing priorities

• Excellent IT skills particularly MS office systems and experience of managing large data sets

Proven ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
What we offer you

You will receive a generous holiday allowance in addition to university closure days. Additional benefits include access to a pension scheme, subsidised health and fitness facilities, sports, arts and culture events and a range of discounts from national and international shops and services.

Join a community that values ambition, inclusivity, and excellence.

We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse culture at the University and creating an environment where people can balance successful careers with their commitments and interests outside of work. Our flexible working practices, including a hybrid working model, where employees can split their working time between the office and home, supports our belief that this balance brings long-lasting benefits for our institution as well as our people.
