We are seeking an experienced and reliable cleaner to join our team on the [Network Rail] contract covering multiple sites in the Leeds/York area. This is a mobile role requiring flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to delivering high cleaning standards across a range of locations. .
You will be responsible for all quality, health, safety and environment requirements of the areas that you will cover, whilst making sure the facility is maintained up the high standards of Mitie.
Your main duties will include maintaining a designated area allocated to you, ensuring all areas and equipment are cleaned, maintained and in a safe, working order and reporting any issues to your line manager.
A strong standard of numeracy and literacy skills and an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office will also be required for the role, as well as competency using IT equipment.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas across assigned sites
Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used and maintained safely and correctly
Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times
Conduct monthly audits and complete stock orders for cleaning materials
Organise site cover within your designated area when required
Report any issues, maintenance needs, or incidents to your line manager
About You:Prior experience in a cleaning role, ideally in a facilities or contract-based environment
Familiarity with cleaning equipment, materials, and approved chemicals (COSHH training provided)
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and proactive approach
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and IT systems
