Badsworth Nursery is a privately owned children's day nursery in a small village setting caring for 30 children aged 0 - 5. The day nursery has been established for over 15 years and is in a purpose built fully enclosed nursery building. Our setting uses a variety of different educational theorist approaches and teaches using natural and loose part resources.

We are currently looking for a young, outgoing, hardworking and motivated individual with a passion for working with children. Badsworth Nursery will help and support you through a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification in early years, with paid study leave. This could lead to a permanent post upon successful completion of the Level 3 qualification. The successful candidate will need to have GCSE Level 4 and above in maths and English.

This role is suitable for a young person that would like to gain knowledge and experience of working with young children and will need to complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification that will take around 18 months to complete. In addition to the childcare qualification you will be required to complete First Aid and safeguarding training.

Some of the duties included in this role are:

To ensure the children in our nursery are cared for, are happy, secure and stimulated .
To have beging to have knowledge and understanding in keeping children safe and implement our safeguarding procedures appropriately.
To become a key person to a small group of children forming effective relationships with the parents and children and meeting their children’s individual care and learning needs.
Observe, encourage and support children in their personal growth and development.
To contribute to the planning, preparation and delivery of the curriculum with the team to consistently meet the requirements of the EYFS.
To provide daily informative feedback to parents about their child's day and their learning and development.
Adhere to all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.

Badsworth Nursery is an all year round setting and close for all bank holidays and a week over the Christmas period and we are open 10 hours per day.
