We are looking for a motivated & organised Senior Library Assistant who can work flexibly to support our out-of-hours service at the Pontypridd campus.
You will manage and support the Library Support Assistant team who staff our out-of-hour service for students. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of library spaces and services ensuring we can open for our advertised opening hours and provide safe, welcoming and supported study spaces for students.
The role is part-time, five hours a day Monday to Friday 15:00-20:00, worked over 37 weeks. This covers the academic year plus some additional time over the summer vacation to allow for preparation for the new academic year.
You will also contribute to the wider work of Library Services through the planning and supervision of projects.
As part of a frontline team, which delivers excellent customer service, a desire to work with customers and a commitment to high standards of customer service is essential.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
