Assistant Back of House Manager - Park Plaza Riverbank

As our Assistant Back of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and effective operation of all back-of-house areas, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards in line with hotel and departmental expectations. You'll manage kitchen operations, stock control, and equipment procurement, while maintaining full compliance with health and safety policies and reporting any maintenance issues to your line manager.

Your Key Responsibilities as our Assistant Back of House Manager:

  • Lead and supervise daily back-of-house operations across all kitchens.
  • Train and develop team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of equipment and supplies.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits of BOH areas and staff uniforms.
  • Manage equipment procurement and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Support onboarding and training for new starters, ensuring timely reviews.
  • Maintain accurate rotas and payroll records aligned with business needs.
  • Implement cost-efficient initiatives and monitor departmental expenditure.
  • Ensure compliance with pest control, waste management, and chemical safety procedures.

What we're looking for:
