What you'll do

You’re joining a team that’s passionate about building on the foundations of our ‘one-bank’ approach to deliver simple, safe and secure solutions for NatWest Markets, enabling our people, clients and businesses to thrive.

You’ll drive the focus on delivering customer value by following the defined programme as directed by senior managers, including the preferred technology methodology in partnership with various stakeholders, making sure they follow the appropriate objectives, structure and scope.

You’ll also drive the financial business case as set by the senior technology programme manager for the programme, with a clear line of sight to the customer value being delivered, in accordance with the technology investment portfolio and funding requirements.

You’ll also:

  • Prepare and take ownership for all project plans and controls and resource plans
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Lead and define a project initiation document or equivalent Agile artefact, ensuring that the solution clearly supports and is aligned to the company’s strategic goals
  • Analyse problem and opportunity statements and prepare estimates for approval, supporting the creation of a financial business case
  • Track and report on project costs and make sure the project is completed within allotted budgets

The skills you'll need

You’ll need an appropriate project management qualification and proven change management experience.

You’ll also need:

  • Good understanding of Markets business and asset classes such as rates and FX, including the key financial and non-financial attributes that define them
  • Experience of delivering strategic projects that support the business strategy and its growth agenda
  • Experience of delivering programme management in a technology or IT function using Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologies as well as Waterfall methods where needed
