Duration: 6 months (likely extensions) (Possibility for perm)

Rate: £14.36/hour

To support the Quality Team and Crewkerne site, by carrying out and managing metrology tasks on both externally sourced and internally manufactured components via the PPAP process and the updating of the site Quality Management System

Main Duties:

  • Ensure that any health and safety guidelines are followed in accordance with the EHS organisational arrangements roles and responsibilities, including maintaining (and improving where possible) 5S standards and ensuring the correct PPE is worn.
  • Perform component measurements and maintain required component records within PPAP and ISIR process
  • Supporting the site process for calibration and control of metrology equipment
  • Maintaining Metrology lab to expectations of relevant 5S standards and QMS system
  • Support change management with respect to product or process verification
  • Support other quality personnel as required
  • Support process for handheld gauge calibration
  • Working on task prioritization alongside existing quality team
  • Supporting internal growth project teams on PPAP progression through business
  • Support Kaizen and other continual improvement activities

Key Accountabilities

  • Support and participate in Health and Safety activities.
  • Assess product conformity, determine disposition and provide problem description to facilitate problem solving
  • Support structured problem-solving activity within the organisation
  • Ensuring the delivery of requested work to the prioritization of the business
  • Support and contribute to Quality activities and promote Quality mindset
  • Support and contribute site Improvement or growth projects
  • Support Quality HPT initiatives and weekly reporting
