USG / Registry Services / Student Support Operations
Full-time: 35 hours per week
Open-ended (permanent)
The Opportunity:
Registry Services are looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Fees and Student Support Assistant with good numeracy skills. The post holder will support the Officers and Managers in ensuring that fee status questionnaires are assessed and classified; all tuition fees and other related fees are assessed, recorded and extracted accurately; and ensure the accuracy of student support information recorded and transmitted to the Student Loan Company (SLC) and Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS). They will ensure that all operational activities are completed to the required standard within the correct time frame and within a customer-focused environment.
Offer and appointment will start at Grade UE04 Step 1 of the scale only.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Educated to High School level with experience of working within an office environment, preferably some time working within a Higher Education institution.
Proven ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
Ability to maintain high standards when responding to high volumes of diverse email and telephone enquiries.
Ability to work with minimum supervision in an accurate and consistent fashion when working under pressure to process fee status questionnaires.
Good IT skills with basic knowledge of excel and access database preferable.
