More detail about the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic, enthusiastic and well-motivated HCPC registered Clinical Scientist to play a key role in the development and future direction the Blood Sciences Department within the Specialist Services Care Group of The Royal Devon University Hospital, based in Exeter with cross-site support to NDDH in Barnstaple. The post holder will contribute to the duty biochemist rota, providing high quality clinical advice, result interpretation and ensuring effective use of the biochemistry service. They will be allocated specific section responsibilities and will be tasked with providing expert advice to users of the service, evaluating new methodologies, developing, growing and optimising the service. They will play a significant part in the development of the service within the Blood Sciences Department, providing a robust, fit for purpose service. The department has a strong track record in training and development of clinical scientists from STP to completion of FRCPath. The department holds HSST accreditation. Our laboratory plays a pivotal role in providing a comprehensive Research and Development analytical service, supporting clinical trials and translating diagnostic research into practical applications.
