We are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join our team in our Manchester Catering unit, this role will report into the Finance Director and be an integral part of the retail customer account management team with a commercial finance specialism.
You will be responsible for the FP&A of the Managed Agent team; managing strategic planning (including the budgeting and forecasting process), providing financial insight and business partnering with the customer. This role will offer the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of dnata Retail’s total operations, working closely with various internal stakeholders including the Category Buying team, Supply Chain, Operations, 3rd Party Partners and Finance.

What’s the purpose of role:

What you’ll be doing:
- Form a close working relationship with the customer and Managed Agent team.
- Provide detailed understanding and insight on monthly results, identifying opportunities to drive value and highlighting key risks with cashflow to the business
- Delivering accurate, timely and actionable insight on operational performance communicating current trends, challenges and opportunities.
- Provide regular ad hoc analysis that identifies key issues stimulating conversation and driving action
- Bring a financial perspective to the assessment of business proposals
- Assist with the development and implementation of systems, processes and applicable data reporting controls.
- Head up the regular finance reviews with the stakeholders of the customer.
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting process
- Recruiting, training, and developing finance team members, ensuring effective team performance.
- Clearly and concisely communicating financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
- At their best working with non-finance colleagues to drive performance.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Ensure that the Managed Agent funding process adheres to a strict control framework and key minimum controls being fully adopted.

Essential
- Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification

- Experience with SAP/Power BI
