We are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Mental Health Officer (MHO) within Argyll and Bute.
The post sits within an integrated Community Mental Health Team and the successful candidate will be required to undertake all statutory duties associated with the MHO role in accordance with the relevant legislation. There will also be the opportunity to participate in and deliver training as and when required.
This presents an exciting opportunity to gain experience and confidence in MHO work and the team, whilst busy, is supportive and well-established.

This post also involves carrying out the duties and responsibilities of an MHO. These include working on relevant events connected to the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Scotland Act 2003, the Criminal Procedures (Scotland) Act 1995 and in the context of the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
Participation in the Day and SWES Out of Hours MHO Rotas is a requirement of this post.
