We are looking for a dynamic and resilient Data Clerk to work in our busy Emergency Department at Royal Free Hospital.
This is a busy and a fast paced role within the Emergency department ensuring ED attendance data is electronically captured correctly .The incoming post holders will need to have good attention to detail, be patient focused and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
The successful candidate will also be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.
To retrospectively review patient notes of ED attendances to ensure that
relevant data is electronically captured on PAS. This is specifically related to the ED treatment form completed during a patient’s journey to achieve optimal income for ED activity.
To support clinical staff working in ED to record and capture electronically relevant information which ensures that optimal income tariffs are received for ED attendances.
To lead on breach validation processes concerning ambulances adhering to strict deadlines
To support the ED data quality administrator
To be responsible for the collation and submission of data to the National Major Trauma Registry (NMRT) on behalf of RFH Emergency Department
To be responsible for ensuring that all documentation and evidence required by the London Trauma Office is available and up to date
To help co-ordinate relevant Trust-wide trauma meetings and training
programmes. Take minutes and action list of trauma meetings
Assist with any trauma related data collection/ audits.
Attend work groups with other Trauma co-ordinators and clinicians to share ideas and current work practises.
Supporting with annual peer reviews as required
Complete an array of ADHOC duties in support of the rest of the administration team, as per service needs
