The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Officer within their Estates department.

These are exciting opportunities to work within a dynamic estates team to drive improvements in the GSA city (Glasgow) and rural (Forres, IV36 2SH) Campuses, including the prestigious faithful reinstatement of the iconic Mackintosh building.

The Maintenance Officer’s role is to carry out a preventative, planned maintenance programme and undertake routine inspections of the premises, fixtures, fittings, utility meters and grounds.

Also, to co-ordinate / carry out repairs, maintenance, improvement works and inspections to ensure the general upkeep and maintenance of the campus.

The post-holder will identify and implement opportunities for carbon reduction and energy saving initiatives through maintenance works.

The role requires someone who is a proven problem solver with the ability to build strong customer relationship skills.

The successful candidate must have a trades background with mechanical and electrical knowledge.
