We’re looking for a Health, Safety and Emergency Planning Officer to join our Corporate Health, Safety and Emergency Planning Team
and help raise the bar on our safety and emergency strategy.

What you will be doing:
Working as a Health, Safety and Emergency Panning Officer you will support the Health, Safety and EPRR Lead in day-to-day
activities and strategic initiatives. Duties will include:
* Assisting with various administrative tasks, such as proof-reading reports, managing consultation correspondence, and booking
meetings. Ensuring that all relevant accident/incident/near miss reports sent into the inboxes are logged in accordance with
the internal procedures.
* Daily administration of the H&S, EP mail inboxes and associated documentation, filing ensuring quality compliance in document
control. By maintaining accurate records of training, inspections, audits, health and safety policies, procedures, and
documentation.
* Prioritising queries and escalate to the Health, Safety and EPRR Lead as required.
* Maintain clear and accurate records for health and safety and emergency planning. Organising and storing all information
effectively. Recording and scheduling of EP internal and Local Resilience Forum (LRF) training for staff.
* Dealing with the H&S, EP training matrixes and associated calendars. Recording and scheduling of EP internal and Local
Resilience Forum (LRF) training for staff.
* Assist with meetings – planning arrangements, writing minutes, collating, and distributing the relevant documentation.
What skills do I need?
* Experience working in a support role, administrative, health and safety.
* Knowledge and practical experience of using a variety of computer software packages.
* A strong customer care focus – internal staff and external customers.
* Good effective written and oral skills – able to deliver messages clearly.
* Ability to form good working relationships and confidence to deal with people at all levels, working as part of a team and
independently.
* Appreciation of working with sensitive and confidential information.
