Trainee ventilation fitter (fitters mate) wanted for works covering the south west. Mostly in and around the bristol area.
We are looking to employ 1 maybe 2 trainee fitters.
We are looking for people who want to learn a trade and not afraid of a bit of hard work.
We have a team of 3 fitters with over 100 years of experience in our trade between us.
Due to a high demand for.our services over the last 2 years we have decided to start training up the next generation of duct fitters.
Anyone with prior ventilation experience as a fitters mates is welcome to apply as well as anyone with some site experience looking to learn and progress.
Fully funded nvq will be available to the right candidate. This is a really good opportunity to get into an apprenticeship as there is a very high demand for our services and it's continued to grow.
Ideally the candidate with have a valid cscs card but help with this is available for the right person.
Driving licence and own transport is desirable to get to meeting points to travel to bristol. We are based between Newport and cwmbran and have fitters in and around that area that you would have to meet in the morning to travel to site. Home pickup and drop off is available for the right candidates who live in the right areas. So anyone living in and around cwmbran and Abercarn areas would be able to be collected and dropped off.
Wages are dependant on age and experience and will be discussed at the interview stage.
There will be a 3 or 6 month probationary period for the successful candidates after this we will start your nvq training.
This is an on site job so it can be heavy and hard work at times. There is also some working at height involved.
Pickup times will be from 6 am and we normally get back around 5pm. Please bare in mind there is always going to be travel time to and from sites but this will be provided for trainees all we ask is you are on time for your pickup and you are willing to learn and turn up 5 days a week. In return we will give you a genuine chance of a career as a ventilation fitter and provide you with all the training necessary.
There is no age person we are looking for specifically we are open to all ages not just youngsters. As long as your committed hard working and can take some banter with the boys on site we will consider your application.
