Title: Retail General Assistant/Barista
Location: London, near London Bridge and Cannon Street station
Salary: £13.85 per hour + overtime available
40 hours per week flexible - Monday to Friday
Shifts can vary between 6am - 5.30pm (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) and between 6am - 8.30pm - including Bar shifts (Wednesday, Thursday)

General Assistant / Barista – Job Description
We’re looking for a personable and professional General Assistant / Barista to join our team. This role blends excellent customer service with hands-on hospitality, ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a great personality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers warmly and professionally.
- Prepare and serve coffee, teas, and beverages to high standards.
- Share menu insights and assist with allergen awareness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Monitor and restock supplies, reporting any shortages.
- Operate tills and handle payments accurately.
- Support breakfast and lunch service as needed.
- Assist with bar service during evening events.
- Attend training and team meetings to uphold service excellence.
Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to high standards.
- Share menu knowledge and support allergen awareness procedures.
- Keep the coffee bar and surrounding areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow food safety and health & safety guidelines.
- Monitor stock and notify management of shortages.
- Operate tills and handle payments accurately.
- Assist with breakfast and lunch service as needed.
- Support bar events like quiz and karaoke nights.
- Attend training and team meetings to grow your skills.
What You’ll Bring:
