As a Pastoral Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with the boys and serving as a trusted mentor and role model
- Implementing individualised care plans and behaviour management strategies
- Facilitating engaging activities and workshops to promote personal growth and development
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
To ensure suitability and consistency for our pastoral team, this role includes a 4-week period as a SEN Teaching Assistant. During this time, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a classroom setting and familiarise yourself with our unique approach to supporting students with SEMH needs.
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- A genuine passion for working with young people and making a difference in their lives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer a competitive salary of £14 - £18 per hour for temporary positions, with the potential for a permanent role offering £22,547-£24,458 per annum plus a £1,344 sleep-in allowance.
