Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Urology (Reconstructive and General Urology). This is a substantive (10 PA) post due to commence as soon as possible. Subspecialty expertise in bladder and reconstructive surgery is essential requirement.
We are a busy department of 19 Consultants who provide Core Urology Services and a wide range of sub-specialist services, including Uro-Oncology, Reconstructive Urology, complex stone management, and General Urology services to both the Cambridge area and the wider East of England region.
The successful candidates will help deliver all aspects of the Bladder and Reconstructive and Core Urology Service, and the job includes a 1:13 on-call commitment.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Urology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
The applicants must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
Applications from job seekers who require skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
