An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Oncoplastic Clinical Fellow to join the Breast Team at University College London Hospitals. The post holder will be based in the Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Unit in the state of the art integrated outpatient service at the MacMillan Cancer Centre. The clinical fellow is an integral part of the team. They spend time on the ward supporting our FY1 during the working week. They are also present in theatres to provide assistance to our consultant team and are given opportunity to learn operating techniques and skills. The post holder will also be expected to provide approximately 4 outpatient clinics per week.

This post is available immediately and is fixed term for 12 months, aimed at providing service provision as well as training opportunities to further the post-holder skills in the diagnosis and management of breast disease as well as oncoplastic breast surgery.

This is a hands-on clinical role within a high-performing oncoplastic breast surgery team. The post-holder will provide ward-based care, support outpatient clinics, and assist in theatre, gaining valuable exposure to oncoplastic techniques and breast cancer management.

You will be expected to independently manage pre- and post-operative care, contribute to MDT discussions, and work closely with consultants, radiologists, specialist nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in breast surgery are essential. The role also offers opportunities for audit, research, and teaching, making it ideal for ST3+ trainees looking to advance in oncoplastic breast surgery.
