This is a part-time role for 8 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed) to end of December 2026. The Oasis Centre - Cornwall is a small local charity providing signposting and support services, alongside Wellbeing Cafés and Family Hub sessions.

Overall Purpose of the Role
The Administration Assistant will provide essential support to the Administration Manager in delivering efficient administrative services for the Charity, with a key focus on communications and digital engagement. The role will also contribute to the smooth running of the Drop-In service, supporting volunteers, providing information and signposting, and assisting individuals in completing benefit applications.

The role does not have any line management responsibility but requires strong organisational, communication, and digital skills to enhance the Charity’s visibility and engagement in the local community.

Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative Support
• Assist the Administration Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks and record-keeping.
• Maintain and update databases, records, and files in line with data protection requirements.
• Support the preparation of reports, minutes, and action logs as required.
• Handle general enquiries via phone, email, and in person.

2. Communications & Digital Engagement
• Support the promotion of the Charity’s activities and services through:
o Social Media: Create and schedule engaging posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
o Website Management: Update website content to ensure it is accurate and appealing.
o Local Press: Assist in drafting and sending press releases and liaising with local media.
o Use Canva (or similar) to design simple graphics for campaigns and updates.

3. Drop-In Service Support
• Be present on-site to welcome visitors and provide a friendly and supportive environment.
• Offer information and signposting to appropriate services.
• Assist service users with completing benefit applications or online forms.
• Work collaboratively with volunteers to ensure smooth running of the Drop-In sessions.

4. Other Duties
• Support organisational projects and events as required.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality policies at all times.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties delegated by the Administration Manager.
