Location: Aston on Trent area, Derbyshire

Contract Type: Full-time, 39 hours per week

Salary: £30,856.62 per annum

Annual Leave: 33 days (including bank holidays)

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence


About the Role


Thera East Midlands is looking for a dedicated and proactive Deputy Care Support Manager to join our team in Aston on Trent, Derbyshire. This is a vital leadership role where you'll work alongside the Support Manager to ensure high-quality, person-centred care for adults with a learning disability.


We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of being fully hands-on, is willing to work shifts and sleep-ins, and is committed to supporting both the people we support and the wider staff team. You must be a driver and flexible in travelling locally as needed.

Key Responsibilities - Deputy Care Support Manager, Aston on Trent area, Derbyshire


  • Provide day-to-day support and supervision for care teams
  • Work regular shifts (including sleep-ins) to model best practice in care
  • Support rota planning, record-keeping, and internal audits
  • Help individuals design and lead their own support plans
  • Step in for the Support Manager as required
  • Promote a culture of safety, dignity, inclusion, and independence


About You -Deputy Care Support Manager, Aston on Trent area, Derbyshire



  • Level 3 ( or willing to work towards) qualification in Health & Social Care
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, care regulations, and health & safety
  • Confident in a leadership or mentoring role
  • Comfortable using digital tools (e.g., Excel, care management systems)
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to travel across local services
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence
