We now have an exciting opportunity in our Logistics Department at our Huddersfield site for a Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator with a view to training and progression towards Logistics Supervisor.
Job Role Summary
The job entails a unique blend of skills, requiring adaptability, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Working closely alongside the Logistics Manager of an international distribution business of electronic motors, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of stock. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in logistics, warehouse, shipping, or freight forwarding who is looking to build a long-term career in logistics.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Working with goods in, loading and unloading wagons and containers
• Checking goods received
• Locating goods within the warehouse
• Picking goods and packing orders for dispatch
• Working with various different carrier systems and websites
• Operating a forklift truck in line with health and safety regulations and guidance
Training & Development
• You will receive training with the view to progression towards Logistics Supervisor
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in warehouse and dispatch
• Good IT skills (with proficiency in Microsoft Office)
• Confidence in learning new IT systems
• Experience in SAP desired
• Forklift truck license
• Mature and responsible attitude
Pay & Hours
• Pay: DOE and to be increased on successful completion of Supervisor training
• Hours: Core hours of 08:30 – 04:30, Monday - Friday
