A quiet, kind 50 year old female requires a Personal Assistant/Befriender to enjoy community events. She lives in Coatbridge and has a mental health condition and a mild Learning Disability. (Please note supported person is a smoker)
This role will be to provide support at home and going out in the community. This lady’s favourite activities are walking, going for lunch, day trips and social community groups like ‘Diamonds In the Community’.
Other tasks include household shopping, general housework, collecting prescriptions as well as giving medication. The main task is to be a supportive and friendly presence in her life, to enjoy getting out and about, avoiding isolation.
We are looking for a patient, kind and motivating person with a cheery personality. A person with empathy who will understand the changeable personality of a person with mental health difficulties.
Driver with a Full UK Driving Licence is preferred, but not essential.
Relevant mental health experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
Hours of Work:
Recruiting for 1 position (there will be a team of 3 PAs)
Guaranteed permanent position of 20 hours per week
Days and Times:
Morning and evening support is needed to give medication.
9:00am – 2:00pm or 4:00pm – 8:00pm.
Support is Monday to Saturday. Hours split between three PAs. We will check your availability of hours at interview.
