As a key member of the team, you will lead on the creation and delivery of audience-first content for the Prime Minister and No.10 channels. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on creativity, producing social-first videos, graphics and storytelling that explain policy in a clear and engaging way. You will play a central role in driving the Plan for Change narrative, shaping creative moments – and embedding a new digital direction across government.
Working across the full production process, you will take projects from concept to delivery, generating ideas, scripting, filming/content gathering, editing and publishing content at pace. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, producing a high volume of accurate, high‑quality work while showing sound judgement, professionalism, and confidence when working alongside senior leaders and stakeholders. Your work will help ensure our content consistently “stops the scroll,” resonates with audiences and delivers impact.
- Develop and deliver high impact digital content that explains government policy and why it matters to the public, using video, graphics‑ and creative storytelling.
- Plan, produce and edit content for the Plan for Change content, ensuring clear narratives, timely delivery and alignment with wider communication priorities.
- Translate complex policy into accessible, audience-led‑ digital content across multiple platforms.
- Use insights and analytics to inform content planning, optimisation and innovation.
- Drive creative ideas, exploring new formats, trends and tools to keep our output fresh and engaging.
- Lead end-to-end‑ production workflows, from concept development and scripting through to filming, editing and final delivery.
- Ensure all content is accurate, on brand, accessible and aligned with government communications objectives‑.
- Collaborate with internal teams, content creators, and external stakeholders to source, shape and deliver content.
- Manage and maintain content archives and workflows for efficient and collaborative production.
- Work with senior political stakeholders to ensure content produced is in line with the digital team’s strategic direction.
- Line manage and oversee the day today work of junior content team members, setting clear objectives and driving continuous development.
