An established and highly respected farm veterinary practice in Devon is seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. The practice boasts an excellent team of friendly, experienced farm animal vets, including a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction (DBR) holder and four Advanced Practitioner Certificate holders, reflecting their commitment to providing cutting edge care and advice to clients and their animals.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a varied farm animal caseload, offering services such as regular herd health and fertility visits, bull and ram fertility testing, heifer pelvic measuring, comprehensive herd and flock health plans, parasite control strategies, mastitis investigations, mobility and body condition scoring, and both private and statutory TB testing. You will also be involved in training and client engagement initiatives, including flock health clubs, lambing courses, and Red Tractor medicine training, ensuring clients receive exceptional support and education.

The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art farm animal facilities, including operating and hospitalisation facilities at North Tawton and an in-house laboratory offering same day faecal egg counts, calf scour diagnostics, haematology, and blood biochemistry testing, allowing you to deliver rapid, accurate care to your patients.

This role is ideal for an experienced farm vet with 3+ years of practice, comfortable with sole charge responsibilities and eager to contribute to a collaborative, knowledgeable team.
