About the Role:

As a 3D Machine Control Specialist, you will be a key part of the project team, ensuring the accurate and efficient use of cutting-edge technology. You will be responsible for the operation, setup, and calibration of 3D machine control systems on a variety of heavy plant equipment. Your expertise will be vital in converting and uploading design files, troubleshooting systems, and collaborating closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure designs are implemented flawlessly.

You will also play a crucial role in providing training and support to other operators, helping to maintain and update both software and hardware. Your day-to-day will involve ensuring all operations comply with strict health and safety standards, and you will assist in the creation of 3D models and designs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and manage 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment.

- Ensure the accurate setup and calibration of machine control systems.

- Convert and upload design files into machine control software.

- Monitor and troubleshoot systems to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with surveyors and engineers for accurate design implementation.

- Provide training and support to operators.

- Maintain and update machine control software and hardware.

- Assist with the creation of 3D models and designs.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

- Document and report on system performance.

Requirements:

- Proven experience operating 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment.

- Proficiency in machine control software such as Trimble, Topcon, or Leica.

- Strong understanding of construction and earthworks processes.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication and training skills.

- Valid UK driver’s license.

Desirable Skills:

- Degree or certification in surveying, engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with multiple machine control systems and software.

- Registration with an accredited professional body.
