Job title: Male Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Tettenhall, Wolverhampton WV6

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 25-year-old male living in the Tettenhall area of Wolverhampton who is looking to recruit a Male Personal Assistant to provide support for 12 hours per week.

Our client is Autistic and has mild learning disability and requires support with building confidence and gaining access to the local community, using public transport and taking part in suitable activities.

Main duties:
Social duties
 keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
 access the local community.
 attend medical appointments if required.
 attend suitable activities such as going to watch Football matches.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:

 Specific requirements: someone with previous care & support experience.

Hours of work: 12 hours per week – Times & days to be discussed

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 Previous care & support experience
 Friendly nature
 confidentiality
 good at building relationships

Preferred:
 driving licence
 car and appropriate insurance
 good communicator
 a good listener
 ability to support people with complex support needs.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
