Crynodeb
The SIAS Adviser provides impartial information, advice, and support to children and young people (0–25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and their families. The role involves:
Managing a varied and complex caseload (e.g. EHCPs, exclusions, post-16 options, appeals).
Offering guidance in line with the Children and Families Act (2014), SEND Code of Practice (2015), and Equality Act (2010).
Supporting families through SEND tribunals and external meetings.
Maintaining and developing the client's website.
Delivering outreach, training sessions, and partnership work with schools, health, and social care.
Providing confidential, empathetic, and person-centred support.
