Civil Site Engineer

A regional house builder who deliver high-quality, sustainable homes and have built a strong reputation for craftsmanship and innovation have a requirement for a Civil Site Engineer to join their team to will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure for our residential developments, ensuring all work complies with current regulations and is delivered on time and within budget.

Civil Site Engineer role

The company deliver new build housing development on complex development which include split levels, retaining structures and tiered gardens.

Working across 6 live developments in the region you will be involved with identifying design issues and challenging levels affecting part M regulations. You will also have involvement with managing section 278 works and section 38 works

The role will typically be based in the office 3 days a week and 2 days on site. Duties to include:

  • Design and coordinate site infrastructure including drainage, roads, utilities, and foundations
  • Checking technical reports, calculations, and drawings
  • Liaise with architects, planning consultants, local authorities, and contractors
  • Oversee site investigations and ensure compliance with environmental and building regulations
  • Provide engineering input during the planning application and construction phases
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and documentation for assigned projects

Role requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in residential or housing development projects
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure design, drainage systems, and groundworks
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
